HMRC’S waiting times for taxpayers has risen compared to its waiting times two years ago, according to sources, Instant Loans Direct has learnt that taxpayers waiting times when calling in for information takes over 4 minutes before a call is answered, compared to just over 1 minute two years ago.
Calls from the government ministers over its handling of taxpayers, having to pay to be on hold, has lead ministers to accuse the department of not getting a grip over people who need the help of the department especially in economic hard times.
The HMRC’S spokesperson said it deals with over 60 million calls per year, it takes this matter seriously, and that its looking into improving its current waiting time.
